Fordham Career Ambassador (Rose Hill Campus)

Fordham Career Ambassador (Rose Hill Campus)

The Fordham Career Ambassadors (FCAs) are a group of highly motivated, goal-oriented students who act as a bridge between the student body and the Career Center. They rely on their passion for professional development to help guide their peers toward career exploration and success.

As an FCA, you will:

  • Attend weekly professional development sessions led by a Career Center staff member. Professional development sessions are designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to become effective representatives of the Career Center, and will feature guest speakers, group activities, and independent assignments.
  • Support the Career Center in organizing and executing events, such as our Career Fairs, alumni panels, and networking events. Support can come in the form of conducting resume reviews, serving as a panel moderator, or facilitating networking conversations.
  • Assist the Career Center in conducting presentations to clubs and residence halls on topics such as resumes, interviewing, LinkedIn, and career fair prep.
  • Support the Career Center’s marketing efforts by participating in the creation of social media reels and blog posts.
  • Serve as a liaison between the student body and the Career Center by providing feedback and identifying gaps in both services and awareness.

Benefits of joining the FCAs:

  • Develop valuable skills in leadership, facilitation, presentation, interpersonal communication, and teamwork
  • Build out your professional network
  • Upon successful completion of the program, ambassadors are eligible for a certificate of completion and a reference letter available upon request for future internship and job applications

The FCA program is an unpaid volunteer ambassador position that requires a 5-hour-per-week commitment. For the Fall 2025 semester, FCA professional development sessions will occur on Mondays from 5:00 - 6:00 pm in the Rose Hill Career Center conference room. Please do not apply for this position if you are unable to attend the weekly professional development sessions and participate in Career Center events.
