The Center for Fiction is the only nonprofit literary organization in the U.S. solely dedicated to celebrating fiction. In February 2019, we opened the doors to our new building in Downtown Brooklyn, creating a home for NYC’s literary community with our library, writers studio, bookstore, and café-bar. We’re known for our Emerging Writer Fellowships, KidsRead/KidsWrite programs for NYC public schools, reading groups, writing workshops, and literary events, including our innovative panels, performances, lectures, and conversations.
We are seeking a Web/Design intern to help us maintain and expand our dynamic website and digital marketing materials. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about the literary world and interested in working with online content. This is a great opportunity to practice literary citizenship, learn more about the nonprofit and literary worlds, and to get hands-on experience that could translate to work in publishing, marketing, and independent bookstores.
This is a remote position. The Web/Design intern will report directly to the Art Director (Matt Kafoury) and may also collaborate with other departments.
