POSITION DESCRIPTION: 
The Danone North America Finance Organization is seeking Finance Early Career Rotation Program Analysts starting in Summer 2019. Positions will be offered in both finance and accounting, with three 8-month rotations in Broomfield, CO and/or White Plains, NY. The program provides a unique opportunity to learn from the diverse Finance and Accounting teams supporting Danone. As part of this program, you’ll harness your business acumen and technical skills to design, implement, and operate the processes that support and enable Danone’s growing businesses and innovations. Ideal candidates will hold a BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and have leadership experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage assigned projects; work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to drive value added projects to completion. Present project results to management and Sr. Leadership.
  • Gain hands on experience as a finance/accounting analyst assisting with various operational duties as assigned, including but not limited to:
  • Gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements and operating forecasts
  • Participate in month/quarter-end accounting close
  • Variance Analysis: analyze P&L for changes in margin and expenses
  • Assist with the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program, operational, regulatory & financial internal audits, management assurance engagements, and fraud and forensics
  • Support businesses in creating and executing internal controls
  • Aid in the creation and modification of internal controls
  • Responsible for general ledger close activities using SAP. Assist with close responsibilities (i.e. perform journal entries, reconciliations, balance sheet flux analysis, detailed account analysis)
  • Prepare monthly financial and management reporting packages
  • Participate in all company sponsored training and volunteer activities
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative duties, as needed
  • All other duties as assigned
 
Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
 
Education and Experience:
 
  • Current student enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Must have an expected graduation date of May 2019 or earlier
  • Internship/work experience in a corporate/professional environment required. Experience in Finance, Accounting, Manufacturing and/or CPG desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement required.
  • Proven Proficiency with MS Excel and financial modeling required
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation development skills required

Additional Information:
  • Must be willing and able to commit to 3 8-month rotations (2 years), working 40 hours a week and overtime if requested
  • Local candidates preferred
