Department of Visitor Experience and Engagement: paid internship in group tour preparations 

Description
The Department of Visitor Experience and Engagement (VEE) seeks an intern to support VEE staff in preparations for tours of the special exhibition “The Obama Portraits.” The intern’s tasks will include compiling research resources for gallery guides to use in preparing exhibition tours; gathering and organizing images for guides to use in virtual tours of the exhibition; collaborating on an itinerary for a self-guided tour of portraits throughout the Museum; and helping to prepare training documents for public-facing Visitor Experience staff.

This summer internship (June 1-August 6) will combine on-site hours with remote hours. Attendance at weekly Friday activities for all BkM summer interns will be required. The rest of the intern’s schedule will be determined in cooperation with the intern’s supervisor. This will be a paid internship coordinated through Fordham University.

Qualifications
Open to students obtaining a Bachelor's degree in art history or a related field. Preference will be given to applicants with strong research and writing skills. Proficiency with Google Suite, PowerPoint and similar presentation software, and video conferencing apps (Zoom, Google Meet) preferred.
