I’RAISE + ACS: 

I’RAISE is partnering with the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) using the School-Based-Early Support model. The goal is to partner closely with schools to connect families to support and services well before concerns warrant a call to the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR). ACS, through I’RAISE, intends to offer families “light touch” service options that strive to connect families to community resources through case management, address families’ concrete needs, support parent/caregiver capacity in their caregiving roles, and avoid unnecessary investigations.

 

Position Summary:

The Program Director will be responsible for overseeing the management and implementation of the School-Based Early Support program, ensuring high-quality service delivery and program operations. They will be responsible for oversight of daily program activities & for directly overseeing work of Supervisors (2), School Outreach Liaison/Parent Support (EBP) Lead (1), Administrative Assistant, and QA/QI Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management and implementation of the School-Based Early Support program
  • Lead a team of core staff, case planners, and administrative support to ensure high-quality service delivery and program operations
  • Responsible for oversight of daily program activities & for directly overseeing work of Supervisors (2), School Outreach Liaison/Parent Support (EBP) Lead (1), Administrative Assistant, and QA/QI Specialist
  • Build meaningful relationships with school staff and families, actively engaging them in co-designing program offerings and incorporating their perspectives and experiences into service delivery
  • Collaborate closely with lead community school providers and other school-based service providers to integrate services as part of the larger community school approach
  • Ensure that the program adheres to trauma-informed service delivery practices, inclusion, and accessibility, and follows evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing
  • Pilot, test, and refine approaches to meeting student learning objectives, reflecting and assessing actions taken in a timely manner to improve teaming up and learning strategies
  • Supervise and support staff, providing professional development opportunities, and ensuring that the program meets the needs of the targeted communities
  • Ensure that staff credentials and training requirements are met, and that staff are well-trained and equipped to engage and work with families in a way that fosters family and child well-being, mitigates risk, and promotes child safety
  • Develop and implement a staffing structure that supports strong program operations and quality service delivery, including manageable caseloads and sufficient supervisory ratios
  • Emphasize building meaningful relationships with school staff and families, actively engaging them in opportunities to co-design program offerings and encouraging them to share their perspectives and experiences with services

Qualifications/Requirement:

  • Masters degree in Social Work or an equivalent human services graduate degree as approved by ACS; and
  • Significant experience in an administrative or supervisory position in a community-based public or private agency doing related work with a similar population.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs and services
  • Knowledge of child welfare and family support services in New York City
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and case management software preferred

Travel Requirement:

  • Ability to travel within New York City public schools to perform job-based duties
  • Must be a New York City Resident with a valid Social Security Number - I’RAISE does not provide relocation assistance nor provide any visa sponsorship at this time
