Summer Electrical Engineering Intern

CJL Engineering is a full-service, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Fire Protection, LEED®, Civil, and Structural Engineering and consulting firm with 7 regional offices.  Our engineers are responsible for designing, analyzing, and maintaining mechanical systems in healthcare, higher-education, central plant, K-12, corporate, government, data centers, and many other structures. This can include assessing the feasibility of proposed projects, developing design plans, collaborating with other engineers and architects, and overseeing construction and installation of mechanical systems. Overall, CJL plays a critical role in ensuring that buildings and facilities have safe, efficient, and reliable mechanical and electrical systems. EOE

CJL is seeking summer Electrical Engineering Interns for our Erie office to support Professional Engineers through drafting, design, field work, and construction administration, including: 

  • Design and coordinate electrical systems for MEP projects
  • Draft drawings, plans, diagrams, details, and notes for use in construction documents packages
  • Conducting site visits to assess existing electrical systems and recommend improvements or upgrades
  • Ensure designs are compliant with local codes and regulations
