Project Engineer Internship

PROJECT ENGINEER INTERNSHIP

     Welkin Enterprises LLC is a Heavy Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC and Fire Sprinkler Contractor based out of Suffolk County Servicing the Greater NYC Area. Welkin provides premier construction services to NYC’s top general contractors and NYC agencies.

RESPONSIBILITES

-         This position requires working from the field and office

-         Reports to project engineer, project manager, vice president and president

-         Coordinate submittals, drafting and procurement

-         Supervise union craft labor

-         Communicate effectively with clients (general contractors and NYC agencies)

-         Control project costs and scheduling

-         Develop monthly requisitions to client

-         Complete daily reports and track construction progress

-         Create a culture of safety and enforce safety standards

QUALIFICATIONS

-         Previous construction experience preferred

-         Enrolled in degree program in engineering, construction management or equivalent

-         OSHA 10 or 30 Hr, NYC DOB SST Card and relevant safety certifications preferred

-         Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

-         Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) preferred

-         Ability to work and make decisions independently

-         Ability to navigate active construction sites safely and ability to lift up to 75 lb
