Overview of Dept/Division:

The MTA Information Technology (IT) department's mission is to deliver innovative and responsive solutions that enable safe, effective, and efficient transportation operations which strategically align with the overarching corporate MTA goals. IT will partner with all MTA business units to understand the overall information needs of the transportation agencies and the communities they serve to optimize the adoption and use of information technology.

Project Responsibilities:

The Tech & Engineering Fellow will be working with Employee Experience Product Group. He/she will work with an agile product delivery team to learn and support Product Development following MTA IT Scaled Agile Framework. The Fellow will be attending daily Scrum meeting to be synchronized with other delivery team members for ongoing development efforts. He/she will support in the planning and effort estimation of development tasks. The Fellow will be supporting development and testing efforts for apps developed in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Rapid App platforms. He/she will also contribute while the delivery team ensures that the MTA IT Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) too, Jira, is leveraged for collaboration purposes.

Special Qualifications or Background Needed:

Majors Preferred: Computer Science, Computer Engineering 
Understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. Capable of programming in one or more of the following programming languages: JavaScript, Python, Java, C# and HTML. Familiar with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power App platforms will be a plus.
