NYCEM Planning and Resilience Internship
Background:
The CBRNE Program needs support with various CBRNE planning initiatives through internal and external coordination, research, and copyediting, in particular:
- Nuclear Detonation Response Plan – need assistance coordinating and researching for the update of the NDRP. Need support with note-taking, copyediting and information gathering.
- Nuclear Weapons Free Zone Advisory Committee – need assistance coordinating and note-taking for this City Council committee. Can involve research and presentations.
- CBRNE Playbook – need support in developing an EOC Playbook for CBRNE events.
Description/Responsibilities:
- Provide project support to various CBRNE planning initiatives through internal coordination, research and copyediting.
- Support and coordinate City Council initiatives and meetings relating to the CBRNE portfolio at NYCEM.
- Identify gaps in existing planning and draft frameworks for future CBRNE planning projects. Special projects, as assigned.
Requirements/Special Skills:
- Communication and coordination
- Excellent interpersonal skills and time management
- Strong writing and copyediting skills
- Administrative skills (notetaking, scheduling)
- CBRNE and/or Emergency Management, Disaster Response or loca/state/federal government experience (optional)
