Intern - Industrial Engineering/Operations Planning
About our group:
Our group is responsibles for key services including capacity planning, capital budget planning and design of factory layouts, factory staffing and factory modelling.
Design, develop, and apply engineering, mathematical models, simulation and optimization models to drive solutions to complex manufacturing problems.
Supports and improves the performance of the Manufacturing operations
Plays a critical role in the execution of Seagate’s Product and Technology Roadmap
About the role - you will:
- Support Industrial Engineering business processes and systems including capacity planning, fab layout and operational performance.
- Support and develop models intended to understand key inputs of factory performance and drive business decisions based on data.
- Collaborate with various engineering teams to determine key business improvement opportunities
About you:
- Proven track record of results
- Successful experience in process improvement initiatives
- Collaborates closely with colleagues and other business units to achieve tactical and strategic goals
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
Your experience includes:
- Data analysis, reporting, workflow automation, visualization skills including Excel, SQL, Knime
- Familiarity with data table structures
- Seeking applicants pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science or another relevant discipline, and must be enrolled in Fall 2025 classes (sponsorship not availabe for this role)
