Financial Analyst
The Financial Analyst position will support the investment function within a small but dynamic venture capital firm, in support of their various investment activities. The ideal candidate will have both strong quantitative and written and verbal communication skills. The candidate should be comfortable multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced and high-energy office environment. Candidates should be self-starters, who are comfortable taking independent initiative and proactively setting about their various tasks and responsibilities. Applicants must be prepared to demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
Portfolio Management
· Collect and evaluate portfolio company performance data and KPIs in an effort to evaluate performance
· Coordination with internal deal leads to support ongoing portfolio management needs and responsibilities
Investment identification, analysis, and due diligence
· Investment research: Support the team’s preparation of investment memoranda for potential new investments
· Support the completion of financial modeling tasks and analysis
Market Research
· Utilize firm tools (ex: PitchBook, Gartner) to conduct ad hoc market research
· Maintain internal database tracking for peer and competitive landscapes
· Helping to push the edge of knowledge at the firm for the current and future investment thesis
Qualifications
Entry-level undergraduate student with a degree in finance, accounting, or related major is preferred.

4. Familiarity with and/or interest in the venture capital market
5. Strong initiative, ability to work independently and think strategically
