Speech-Language Pathologist
About Us
Speech in Bloom is a licensed, board-certified pediatric speech and feeding therapy collective serving families in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our small team on a 1099 contract basis. We have a full caseload takeover.
Opportunities include private pay, in-school or home settings, as well as sessions at a sensory gym or small office. The primary locations for these cases are in Manhattan (Upper West Side, Upper East Side) and Brooklyn (Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Downtown Brooklyn, among others).
We are looking for a warm and approachable SLP who can make a meaningful impact in our clients' lives.
Measures of Success
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children ages 2-7
- Provide therapy services focused on articulation, speech sound disorders, autism, and feeding/oral motor disorders
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support each child’s development
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans
- Travel to various neighborhoods to meet clients in their preferred settings
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- NY SLP licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP)
- Minimum of 3 years of post-clinical fellowship experience
- Strong background in working with children aged 2-7, particularly in articulation, speech sound disorders, and autism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to travel to different neighborhoods and adapt to varying case needs
- An innovative mindset and willingness to contribute ideas for improving services
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in feeding therapy
- Training or experience in orofacial myology
- Familiarity with PROMPT or DTTC
- Meaningful Speech Training or experience with gestalt language processors
Pay Rates, Depending on Experience
- $70-90/30 minutes
- $80-$100/45 minutes
