Investor Relations Associate

Pegasus Tech Ventures is looking for a Investor Relations Associate to work at our Silicon Valley headquarters. Pegasus Tech Ventures is a global venture capital firm with $2 billion assets under management for 40+ corporate partners, some of which include Marathon Petroleum Corporation, SEGA, AISIN, Omron, and ASUS. Since 2011, we have invested in 260+ companies such as SpaceX, Airbnb, Doordash, and Twitter. Pegasus also founded the Startup World Cup, one of the biggest and richest startup competitions in the world. Startup World Cup hosts 100+ regional competitions across six continents culminating in a Grand Finale in San Francisco featuring a $1 million investment prize into the global champion.
 

As an Investor Relations Associate, you will play a critical role in establishing new partnerships with corporate partners to fuel our investment activities, work closely with the executive team, gain exposure to a wide variety of venture capital projects, and expand your network within Silicon Valley and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the construction and maintenance of a fundraising pipeline with international corporate partners for our venture capital funds
• Conduct extensive market research to identify corporate investors who may be a strategic fit
• Foster the cultivation and management of partnerships for Startup World Cup
• Collaborate with executive team to develop fundraising goals and timelines, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategic objectives
• Support administrative tasks, including internal and external coordination to schedule meetings and taking notes during pitch meetings
• Create business development materials such as pitch presentations and customized emails
• Support planning of events, including webinars and investor events
• Support other projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, marketing, or related fields
• Relevant experience including past jobs/internships in business development, fundraising, investor relations, and/or client services
• Relevant experience in/knowledge of the venture capital ecosystem is a plus
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with past public speaking/presentation experience as a plus
• Project management, event planning, and marketing experience
• Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Passion for and understanding of technology, investing, venture capital
• Experience working in multicultural environments/international business a plus
• Must be able to work from Pegasus’ Silicon Valley headquarters
