Internship Overview:
Program Focus: Social Media & Marketing
Duration: 10 weeks, Summer 2025
Schedule: 10-15 hours/week with flexible scheduling
Location: In-person in Chelsea, Manhattan
Compensation: Unpaid, for college credit only

Role Summary:
The Social Media & Marketing Intern at MCM Creative Studios will play a key role in helping shape our online presence by developing and executing social media strategies tailored to the film production industry. They’ll collaborate with our production and post-production teams, along with clients, to create engaging content, contribute to defining our brand’s digital style and messaging, and gain hands-on experience in marketing for film and video production. Interns will also develop and execute a semester-long live social media campaign culminating in a presentation that details their process, analytics, and key takeaways.
In addition to real-world experience, interns will receive learning opportunities in film production, post-production, and digital marketing, along with mentorship, and resume/portfolio feedback to help build a strong foundation for future careers. This role is ideal for students passionate about media, marketing, storytelling, and digital engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with defining and refining our digital style
- Help us develop and execute social media strategies
- Collaborate with teams and clients to create engaging content
- Create and schedule social media content for Instagram and TikTok
- Track and analyze engagement
- Conduct audience and trend research
- Support marketing projects and campaigns
- Participate in team and company meetings
- Contribute creative ideas
- Keep clear documentation of all completed work
- Communicate regularly with supervisor(s)
Skills & Qualifications:
- Creative thinker who is confident and excited to share their ideas
- Genuine interest in social media and marketing
- Demonstrably skilled in video editing for social media and platform-specific tools
- In tune with current social media trends
- A natural at capturing brand identity and translating it into engaging digital content
- Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of accountability and follow-through
- Highly organized and communicative
- Thrives in collaborative settings
- Knowledge and/or interest in film and film production a huge plus
